The Merced Board of Supervisors wants to visit sometime in March to see how we operate. They want to put together something like we have at Interfaith. This is a nice compliment!!!
Interfaith Director Peacock wants to hold a gathering of homeless people to get their input on what they actually need (not what we think they need.) To gather information from them directly and see what we can do to help. Maybe serve hotdogs to get more of them to come and express themselves.
Interfaith needs household items like dishes, small appliances, bedding, etc. Thank you for your past and future donations !!!
Because of snow and storms and illness, Interfaith had problems in February with volunteers not being able to get in. And Interfaith is getting a lot of new clients who don't know the routine. It takes more time to make them welcome and explain how things are done. BUT we are getting it done!!!
Interfaith Legal Services opened 30 new cases and served approximately 73 people in January.
The pantry gave groceries to 563 families and clothing was given to 1,397 individuals. Showers were provided for 203 clients.
To accomplish all this, volunteers gave 1,335 hours of their time.
